Out in the Night
You came in With flowers in your hand There were stars Out in the night spelling
Dyslexic Odes about lonely men Swept away In states of confusion
Angered I Asked who gave you flowers My world was In turmoil and darkness
A Strange Sadness
In a hostile tongue Old songs Old murals Old poems Lose their color and lore
A strange sadness Fills eyes Fills souls Fills hearts Silence gives way to howls
Fine Mood
I am here to deliver My wife’s baby. I’m not the patient. I feel fine.
I’m doing really well For someone that’s sick. There’s nothing wrong with me. I want to leave.
My name’s not Dave. It is C-i-n-d-y. Why do you smile, doctor? You should take medicine.
Maybe it will help you. I’m doing fine. I have my sunglasses on. The sun’s a nuisance.
I’m a judge. I’m a lawyer. I’m the police. I have a badge in my pocket. You are the crazy ones. .
